A change of plan

We were originally supposed to create an outfit for menswear but the fabrics that were left over weren't really working, especially the fact that its all floral, so we changed our idea to another outfit for womens wear.
We started off with a quilted jacket, we cut the sleeves shorter and cut some of the bottom off to create a dress. The shapes of the flowers were cut along the hem of the bottom of the dress and the sleeves to give a more interesting shape and a more girly look.

We fitted and pinned the front and back of the dress to give more shape and pinned the neckline to make it look more feminine. We also accessorised it with a thin brown belt.
